Peter J. Boyle is one of Dublin’s most established and respected Solicitors, with over 45 years’ experience. He is the Managing Partner of the firm and specialises in Litigation, Personal Injuries, Debt Collection, Employment Law, Conveyancing and Property Law, and Wills and Probate. He also has extensive experience of sporting disciplinary hearings.

Peter has a number of high profile cases to his credit, including Murphy v. Bord Telecom Éireann, a leading employment law case which was successful in the European Court of Justice, confirming the right of women and men to equal pay.

Peter holds a B.A. (Mod.) from Trinity College Dublin and was admitted as a Solicitor in 1977, becoming Principal of Charles B. W. Boyle & Son in 1987. He is the grandson of the firm’s founder, Charles B. W. Boyle.

Outside law, Peter has had a distinguished career in rugby administration. He is a former President of the IRFU (2006/07) and former President of the Leinster Branch (1983/84). He represented Ireland for 12 years on World Rugby [formerly the International Rugby Board], and sat on its Executive Committee. He also served as Treasurer of the Leinster Branch for 12 years, and was a Director of both the Heineken Cup and Six Nations organisations. He retains a keen interest in the game and is an active supporter of Dublin University Football Club.
