Melanie is a Partner in the firm with specialist knowledge of Litigation, Wills and Probate, and Debt Recovery. She is also one of the foremost Solicitors in Illegal Adoption cases in Ireland, having achieved the first successful settlements for illegally adopted persons against the State and Religious Order.

With over 20 years’ experience, Melanie has accumulated a broad range of legal knowledge and practical problem-solving.

She has a keen interest in both the law and in people and has a passion for assisting her clients, whether it be navigating complex Litigation, guiding an Executor through the Probate process, or drafting a watertight Will for a client.

Melanie is the great-granddaughter of the firm’s founder and after joining the firm in 2011, she became the firm’s first female Partner in 2020. She previously worked in Commercial Litigation at Matheson, one of Ireland’s most prestigious firms, where she also trained following her BCL (International) at University College Dublin and University of Minnesota Law School.

Outside work, Melanie enjoys walking her beloved dog, watching Leinster and Ireland rugby, and practising yoga. She is also a proud volunteer with the Big Brother Big Sister youth mentorship programme in the north inner city.
